Q: What is the latest change in the immigration rules related to student visas?

#student_visas

The latest changes in the immigration rules related to student visas were updated by the UK Government on 26 March, 2021. According to the new rules, all students (including those from EU and non-EU countries) need to demonstrate that they have sufficient funds to cover their living costs while in the UK (e.g. food, accommodation, course fees). The student’s living costs should amount to at least £1,000 per month, or £2,000 for family members accompanying the student. The student should also have financial security for additional costs associated with the course of study, such as course fees, course materials, as well as any family members’ travel (if applicable). Additionally, students must have access to public or private medical insurance or be enrolled in the UK’s National Health Service (NHS).
