What is a Spouse Visa …

A Spouse Visa is issued to international partners of British citizens or persons settled in the UK, valid for 33 months. This visa allows partners to live, work and study in the UK. In order to apply for a Spouse Visa, an applicant must meet the following criteria:

1. Be 18 years or older.
2. Be married to or the civil partner of a person present or settled in the UK.
3. Intend to live together with your partner in the UK.
4. Have adequate financial resources for support without access to public funds.
5. Provide evidence of a valid English language test.
6. Provide appropriate accommodation.

2. Proof you have passed the Life in the UK test and proof of valid English language skills.
3. Proof of accommodation.
4. Proof that the marriage or civil partnership is genuine and continuing.
5. Proof that the British partner has sufficient funds to support the application.
